Cedar wine rack recreated.
Original Design - Side View: Three cedar strips glued up to form the base of the original wine rack.
Original Design - Front View: This octagon with cradle-style holders for five bottles and up to four glasses beneath was a nice, functional design — but definitely needed some love with a cleaner build.
Original Design - Back View: Recessed mounting hardware for hanging was a great touch, but crooked glass rails, visible brad nails, and glue overflow? No bueno.
Front Angle, Build Complete: Clean angles, clean joinery — our recreation kept the original shape but gave it the craftsmanship it deserved.
Alternate Front View: Made from freshly planed cedar, the wood will deepen in color as it oxidizes. Once it turns brown, we’ll apply the protective finish.
Back View: We kept the recessed mounting hardware but reworked the rest — no crooked lines, no brad nails, no glue streaks.
Updated Design – Now Available: We loved the challenge of recreating this rack — so much so, we gave it a fresh upgrade. This version features rich walnut with a striking hard maple accent, refined lines, and cleaner joinery throughout.
